out of all the silly places
the less concerned and cornered traces
of bread crumbs that crumbled beneath my fingers,
i thought i picked up those pieces
the last time i traveled home for peace
as i release the last dying breath of something new
i knew it was too good to be true.
for the rain seeps in as you seep out
and the nothingness of people still fill me with doubt
i took all our pictures down
noise outside and i still hear no sound
mewithoutyou is the only phrase that will resound.
ashes to ashes and dusk is what i trust
the blackness of the night and the feeling of lust
i walk crooked pavements wishing something would refocus,
this town seemed so simple before the thoughts plus one
to one who won its hard so hard when i was unknown
all full of wine, the world before the show
was really quite sober with no place to go.
for the rain seeps in as you seep out
and the nothingness of people still fill me with doubt
i took all our pictures down
noise outside and i still hear no sound
mewithoutyou is the only phrase that will resound.
and here i am now, rivers of ink to document
the document of ages snap back, relapse, and confess
its just stress.
muster up the courage to settle where i choose,
muster up the courage to hold it in while i still lose
breathe out and let it go because my soul is hardest to bruise.
if i could say sorry,
and i can say sorry,
it wouldn't be because i'm sorry.
so i hold my mouth with tape
pen to paper as a scrape
the words flow fingertips
theres a quiver in my lip
