I see you with your palms in your pants but me, see me, I got the world in my hands.

231. Get it Alice.

Amazing remix. I'm so grooving right about now. Oh and before it's too late...welcome Fall! First day of fall was today. Now we just need the weather to catch up because apparently it forgot.

Enjoy!

230. Unwrapping rapping.

So as you know I fully admit to loving YouTube. I go on it for just about everything and it amuses me for hours on end. I do have my select favorites that I check up on close to everyday. I love when collabos happen. These two are almost pushing it for the 3 and 4 spot of my favs. The top 2 are a secret. Here we have Kat Badar and Timothy De la Ghetto. Go check both of them out on their separate channels. Kat has this super amazing voice and Tim is hilarious and can actually spit pretty well. Maybe I should write something for him and send it in. And yes...I'm on a first name basis with them. Look at me giving nicknames like "Tim". Hope you enjoy!!

229. Fall 09

With school starting up for most people I decided to do a little Fall 2009 blog. I like giving people a taste of what I'm into during each and every season. I change my mind a lot so if I do this season by season you might be able to keep up. This is in no way a fashion blog. This is primarily a place where I am telling you what I will be sporting...things that I love!

Shoes:
I love shoes. Anyone who knows me knows that I spend all the money I can on the newest and freshest pair of kicks. I may not be all that fashionable, but when it comes to my kicks I like to think I have a pretty fresh hand (or foot in this case) in the game. Here are my must haves for Fall 09.

These are the Nike Dunks Hi in nylon. I've outgrown a lot of my Nikes except for my air max 95's but when I saw these on a friend last winter I've been on a hunt ever since. I couldn't pull these off with anything but sweats. It's a shoe that is so comfy and so ready for winter. The nylon makes these shoes water resistant. Imagine sweats with the all black Nikes in the pouring rain. Look fresh even when its pouring. I like it.

These are Globe Motley in black denim. I'm not a huge skate shoe fan except for vans but these caught my eye and I picked them up in early summer for a decent price. I've only worn them once to get the feel because I'm waiting for fall to bust them out. My favorite part is the copper trim.

These are the Del Barco low Vans in olive green. Vans has completely stepped up their line of shoes for the Fall season. So many brands are now heading in the direction of the boat shoe and I for one completely digg it. These haven't come out yet but as soon as they do I am really going to consider picking up a pair.

Last but certainly not least we have the peacoat Vans. I was hesitant to even put this shoe out here because I am kind of selfish when it comes to my kicks. However I couldn't resist showing off my newest find for Fall. These have also not come out yet but I will definitely be finding them as soon as they do. It's like a jacket...for your feet!

Jackets & Hoodies:
I'm a huge fan of jackets and sweatshirts during fall and winter months. You can't go wrong with a comfy sweatshirt to help you get through a boring class. I don't have much of a style when it comes to these things...I'm more of a comfort girl.

This is my new zip up hoodie from tillys. They are pretty cheap and come in awesome colors. Juniper got a purple one and I picked up this pretty blue one! I will be getting more of these if they hold up nicely.

This rain jacket by Columbia has helped me through many a storm. I like it because it has a fleece lining inside and drawstrings everywhere to keep the jacket super tight. I wear it over everything during rain season.

Shirts and Longsleeves:
I lost my love for graphic tee's this summer. For some reason I only wore v-necks this summer. I think the comfort of a v-neck, the style, and the choices definitely made me a happy camper. They can be dressed up or down and I'm excited to wear them under jackets this Fall. Longsleeves I can't wait to pull out. Thermals are going to be a must for me this coming season.

Vneck forever. My favorite (cheap) v-necks?...Target!

Thermals with buttons are going to be my thing. Target for the win..again. =]

Pants:
I love jeans. Sweats and jeans are what I'm all about.

Bullhead skinny jeans are my favorite. They fit right and aren't too baggy for my liking. I'm not a huge fan of tight jeans, but I also can't stand baggy jeans. I've searched long and hard for the right jean and bullhead skinny seems to be the winner. They've got so many colors and its a good thing.

There ya have it! Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed creating it. =]

227. Inbox Hope.

May 18th, 2008 I received a letter in my inbox. It was long and detailed...with no stronger intention then the simple fact of saying hello. A small portion of the letter continues to uplift me each and every time I read it.

"I just wanted you to know that you are amazing. Every one else is thinking it, they would just feel weird saying it randomly. Trust me. The world thinks you are fantastic and we're all blessed that there are people like you around to make it that much better for us.

... So thanks. =]"

The purpose of me posting this is not for self recognition. I suppose it is more for inspiration. I do believe that there is at least one person for everyone that uplifts us more than we can possibly do ourselves. It's often hard to live in a world of competition and expectation. If every person received an email like I did last year...we would save it, glance at it on our bad days, and remember that at least one person believes we are making a difference through our own personal storm. Bottom line...try and be happy. I know that when I read over that line in my email I sure want to live up to the standard they feel I am personally accomplishing. Then I often take a step back and realize that by simply being me...I am doing exactly that. Rock on and live on. Make yourself proud...that's most important. I mean that.

Thanks friend...wherever you are. I suppose you're the inspiration to this post.

Man if this would have been the type of stuff we did, I would have never stopped choir. Wait...did I say I was in choir? Haha, cats out of the bag. Enjoy!
